A) DEVOTION: WOMAN’S GUILD
FOLLOWERS SEMINAR
Bible reading: Matthew 5:13-16
1. Lessons
(i) You are the Light
(a) We are the light of the world. By living in accordance with the word of God, we serve as light that dispels darkness.
(b) When darkness is dispelled, people have the light of the Gospel which removes unrightousness.
(c) Members of the Woman’s Guild are by their lives expected to influence others so they can come to Christ.
(ii) You are Conquerors
Take courage to know that just as light cannot be defeated by darkness, you as well are conquerors over unrighteousness in your lives.
(iii) Shine the Light of Christ
You have a responsibility to shine the light of Christ in your family and community. This you do verbally and by your actions (Philippians 4:9).

(B) DEVOTION: ELDERLY WOMAN’S GUILD MEMBERS APPRECIATION SERVICE
Text: Joshua 1: 5
LESSONS
1. Old age is not sickness or something unfortunate, but a blessing from God.
2. In old age there are things one might not be able to do, but there are many we still can do. For example, the elderly can advise their children and others around them while also praying for their families, the church and the nation.
3. God assures the elderly of His care and protection for them when He says:
“I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Joshua 1:5).
